The official blog for 24-year-old singer/voice actress Kanako Miyamoto announced on February 7 that she will take a hiatus from activities for a while due to her health issues. She is best known as a singer of the theme songs for the PreCure series and the voice actress for Cure Sword /Makoto Kenzaki in Dokidoki! PreCure (2013-2014). According to the announcement, she has been sick since the end of the last year. She still has not been recovered enough yet and her agency Toei Management finally has to make a decision that she should stop working in order to concentrate on her treatment. The length of her rest period is undecided. Her upcoming 1st original full album "Arigatou no Uta" will be released on February 12 as scheduled.
I saw her several times in various PreCure-related events including the PreCure Musical shows featuring the OP/ED singers held every summer in Osaka. She was always the most energetic and cheerfully smiling
performer on the stage. Get well soon, Kana-san.
