Miyano Mamoru, Hiroyuki Yoshino and Fumiko Orikasa Star in "Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting!" Flashback Arc

Boxing series Hajime no Ippo lost Kenji Utsumi, its voice of Coach Genji Kamogawa, last June, and Ichiro Nagai, voice of the character's friend/rival Ginpachi Nekota, last month. The production of the latest anime series' The Fighting is mindful of the passing of these veteran voice actors as it prepares to feature their characters' histories in a post-World War II story arc.

Miyano Mamoru (Death Note's Light), Hiroyuki Yoshino (Meow in Space Dandy) and Fumiko Orikasa (Chun Li in Street Fighter, Rukia in Bleach) voice the two and tragic Japanese beauty Yuki in what manga fans refer to as the "Kamogawa arc." Dominant American soldier turned boxer Ralph Anderson serves as the main antagonist.

The four episode story kicks off March 8th.
