Bones and director Soichi Masui will be returning to work of Scrapped Princess author Sakaki Ichirou for the spring's Hitsugime no Chaika (Coffin Princess Chaika) anime. Newly announced cast includes Chika Anzai as the titular silver haired wanderer, Junji Majima (Toradora's Ryuji Takasku) as aimless male lead Toru Acura,Yuko Hara as his adopted sister Akari and Chiwa Saito (Madoka Magica's Homura) as Fredrika.
Lucky Star's Touko Machida will be writing with animator Nobuhiro Arai on character designs. The 2010 series, illustrated by Ookuma Nekosuke, has already been adapted into a manga by Sakayama Shinta, as well as having a 4-panel spin-off.
