Voice actor Wataru Hatano will perform the opening theme for Hitorijime My Hero, an upcoming TV anime adaptation based on the boys' love manga by Memeco Arii that will debut in July of 2017.
The opening is entitled "Heart Signal", and it features lyrics by shigeo and composition / arrangement by Genki Hikota. "Heart Signal" will be released as a single in Japan on July 12, 2017.
The original Hitorjime My Hero is serialized in Ichijinsha's gateau manga magazine. The series is a spin-off of Memeco Arii's earlier manga, Hitorijime Boyfriend, and focuses on the growing bonds between Masahiro Setagawa, an incompetent delinquent, and Kōsuke Ōshiba, a high school teacher who is bad at math but good at fighting.
