Love Kome -We Love Rice-, the upcoming original TV anime series featuring five personifications of popular Japanese rice brands, has announced a tie-up with Japanese Government's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The ministry has agreed to feature the anime character visual on its official posters to promote rice eating. See the poster image below.
But there was one condition that the anime had to accept. It was revealed by general producer Yoshitada
Fukuhara at the Nico Nico Live event on April 1. The anime has a character named Chinko Bouzu (CV:
Tomokazu Sugita), literally means "Penis Monk" in English. The producer was ordered by the ministry to
delete the character's name from the poster. The anime's official Twitter confirmed it by retweeting a photo
report posted by one of the MCs of the event, Yui, below.

Meanwhile, the anime's official Twitter also posted a comment below on March 30.
"Please look forward to Love Kome planned by Yaoyorozu who really hates parodies and meta-fictions.
The name of the protagonists' unit, Love Rice is a perfectly original word inspired from the people who love
rice. (If the second season is possible, how about naming it Love Rice Sunshine?)"

The Yaoyoruzu (Kemono Friends)-planned anime series is set to premiere on Tokyo MX, Sun TV and Tochigi
TV on April 5. The story is set in Inaho Academy that is planned to be closed down due to a lack of interest
in rice eating among people. The five newly-enrolled boys decide to save the school and to have everyone
rediscover the value of rice by performing as an idol group "Love Rice" at "Harvest Show." But there is a
strong rival group called "Yeast King" at St. Pan High School, who are also trying to promote bread eating.
