The Kyoto Animation adaptation of Kagami Yoshimizu's schoolgirl otaku comedy Lucky Star debut on April 8th, 2007. The May issue of Nyantype magazine celebrated animated antics Konata, the Hiiragi sisters, Miyuki and company with a new pin-up that saw the return episode animation director and animator Chiyoko Ueno, with assistance from Ayumi Shimoura and Yukie Tsuda.
