Just in time for Golden Week, the Monster Strike web anime is getting a spin-off web anime special entitled Senritsu no Lucifer - Tada Hitotsu no Hajimaru no Uta ("Lucifer's Melody - Just One Song To Start It All") which reimagines a trio of fiendish characters as a rock and roll band aiming to take the grand prize in the "Monsters Rock" competition.
In the special, Lucifer is living aimlessly after the dissolution of her previous rock band. One day, her cousin Satan and his bandmate Ibaraki-dōji ask Lucifer to join their band, the Haitoku Pistols, as they compete for the grand prize in the "Monsters Rock" competition. The winners of the contest will receive a major record debut as a prize, but Lucifer is hesitant to participate.
Senritsu no Lucifer - Tada Hitotsu no Hajimaru no Uta is directed by Kazuya Sakamoto and features animation by Liden Films Kyoto Studio. It also features the voice talents of Yōko Hikasa as Lucifer, Showtaro Morikubo as Satan, and Asuka Nishi as Ibaraki-dōji. The special is approximately 20 minutes in length and will be released to Youtube at 7:00 PM JST on May 03, 2017.
