This weekend, writer Gen Urobuchi, Nitroplus producer Koh Kitaoka and the stars of Taiwanese puppet co-production Thunderbolt Fantasy made an appearance at Washington's's Sakura-Con. Along with sketching out plans for the spin-off Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword of Life and Death, and the sequel, the presentation offered a look at designers for new characters.

This week, a behind-the-scenes look at the April Fool's crossover joke was posted
Scheduled for April 1, 2205, a dream meeting of cute sword guys was announced! The sword-as-boys of history geek favorite Touken Ranbou are meeting the sword chasers from collaboration between Japanese companies Nitroplus and Good Smile Company and Taiwanese puppet production company Pili International Multimedia, Thunderbolt Fantasy. A short presents a meeting of Mikazuki Munechika (CV Kōsuke Toriumi) and Lǐn Xuě Yā (CV Kōsuke Toriumi).
Also, the folks at Nitro+, such as such as character designer Satoru Minamoto and namaniku ATK of Chaika fame, have been posting some fan-service-y art to promote the release of the Thunderbolt Fantasy manga and novel tie-ins
