"Castlevania's" Adi Shankar Would Love To Make An R-Rated "Mega Man" Film

You may remember the producer from the upcoming Castlevania Netflix series, Adi Shankar, from the popular 14-minute short film based on Power Rangers that made its way onto YouTube in 2015. Although he’s busy at work on Castlevania, there are more video game adaptations he’d like to tackle in the future.

In recent interviews, Shankar has referenced his desire to do an R-rated live-action depiction of Capcom’s Mega Man. He also would like to do an animated version of Contra from Konami.

Shankar has said his next project after Castlevania will be an animated R-rated take on the first three seasons of Power Rangers. He stated that he hoped to launch the project in the next 18 months, though there’s no word yet whether Saban is on board with that or not.
