If Freaky Friday wasn't real enough for you and you're looking for something a little more disturbing and a little less worried about being family-friendly, Shuzo Oshimi's Inside Mari may be just what you're looking for. The nine-volume manga received a simulpub on Crunchyroll, and now anyone who can access Fuji TV can see the entire story brought to life.
In Inside Mari, a shut-in named Isao Komori stalks a schoolgirl named Mari -- only to discover one morning that he has switched bodies with her. But trying to find the real Mari proves difficult, especially since finding his body seems to reveal that there's a second Komori now inhabiting it. Attempts to track down the real Mari lead Komori and the one friend who believes him, Yori, down a path of confusion, deception, and even romance.
The eight-episode drama was directed by music video maker Sumisu with Hatsuki Yokoo and Hiroto Totsuka, and penned by Yuko Shimoda. Elaiza Ikeda of Wolf Girl and Black Prince stars as Mari/Komori, with Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Komori himself and Yuri Nakamura (the live-action Mirai Nikki) as Yori.
The entire series is now available for Fuji TV viewers.
