It is officially announced today on April 18 that 48-year-old Yoshiki, the leader/drummer/pianist of X Japan, writes the theme song for the upcoming full CG film Saint Seiya: LEGEND of SANCTUARY. The world-wide popularity of both Yoshiki and the Seiya series makes this great collaboration possible. The ballad song "Hero (Yoshiki Classical Version)" is sung by Katie Fitzgerald, the female vocalist of one of Yoshiki's musical units, Violet UK. Yoshiki plans to perform this song in his forthcoming world tour "YOSHIKI CLASSICAL WORLD TOUR 2014," starting at Costa Mesa in California on April 25.
The full CG film Saint Seiya: LEGEND of SANCTUARY will be released in Japan on June 21.
