Veteran (but still 17-year-old) anime voice actress Kikuko Inoue has posted photos and videos about her visit to Ishinomaki Mangattan Museum in Miyagi Prefecture last weekend. She took part in a charity event to support earthquake recovery with Atsuko Tanaka (Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in The Shell) and Akio Otsuka (Batou) on April 12 and 13. The museum was opened in 2001 to display the manga works of Shotaro Ishinomori, who was known as the original creator of Kamen Rider and Cyborg 009. The building was severely damaged by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami. After the repair period of 20 months, it reopened in November 2012.
Tanaka and Otsuka held a voice acting workshop at the museum on Saturday, then gave a live citation with Inoue at the Aitopia Hall on Sunday. During the weekend, Inoue visited the museum and enjoyed cosplaying as one of the most popular female characters of Ishinomori, Françoise Arnoul/Cyborg 003
from Cyborg 009.
