VIDEO: "Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment" Kirito Ad and Plans

With Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment being released for the PS Vita in Japan today, Bandai Namco has posted a 60-second Kirito version ad for the game.

Meanwhile, Dengeki spoke to producer Futami Takakai again, who laid out plays to update Hollow Fragment with DLC in a way that will make the game feel like a MMORPG, later adding that he dreams of someday making an actual MMORPG based on SAO.

These regular DLC updates kick off in May:

  • Auto-attack support-use set

  • Black two-handed sword

May 15

  • Avatar (Spriggan Kirito face)

  • A customisation kit to achieve Kirito’s look in Fairy Dance

May 22

  • Hollow Mission: The Nightmare King’s Requiem

  • Yuuki’s Sword

May 29

  • Avatar (Spriggan Kirito Hair (Later Part))

  • ALfheim Online special set

A big update hits in July with the level cap being raised to 250, a "Grand Quest" event, new location, the ability to date Sachi, with the accompanying CD, and the ability to partner with information broker Argo.

Dengeki also posted a few gameplay previews, with a look at its new Burst Gauge and partner interaction:
