In the announcement for the release of the Blu-ray of the first season, the news was jokingly teased with a comment "It's up to you if believe it or not." yesterday on April 1. Surprisingly, it turns to be true. It is officially announced today on April 2 that the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Choboraunyopomi's 4-panel comedy manga Ai-Mai-Mi is truly set for a July premiere. It is titled Ai-Mai-Mi ~Mousou Catastrophe~ (Delusion Catastrophe).
The original voice cast including Yuka Ohtsubo (as Ai), Aya Uchida (Mai), Maaya Uchida (Mii), and Ai Kayano (Ponoka) are all back for the second season. A Japanese comedian Seitaro Mukai also joins as the narrator and background voices. Itsuki Imazaki, who served as the series director/writer/character designer/animation director for the first season, once again helms the series. The Blu-ray for the 13-episode first season containing an audio commentary by the voice cast, PVs, and a TV special is
scheduled to be released in Japan on May 16. The first season is also available on Crunchyroll.
