"Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Gets Stage Play This Fall

Cornflakes, Tokyo-based multimedia/creative studio, announced today on April 24 that a stage play adaptation of the 2010 PSP game Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc has been green-lit. The play titled "Danganronpa The Stage ~Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubo no Koukousei" will be performed at Nihon Seinenkan's Main Hall (capacity: 1,360) in Tokyo from October 29 to November 3.


 


23-year-old actor Kanata Hongo plays the protagonist Makoto Naegi. Hongo is best known for his portray as Ryoma Echizen in the 2006 live-action adaptation film of Takeshi Konomi's popular tennis manga The Prince of Tennis. Japanese owarai duo Non Style's Akira Ishida performs as Yasuhiro Hagakure and also serves as the director of the stage with a script by Kei Horie (Legend of the Galactic Heroes stage play in 2011).
