Following the four main voice cast announced last December, the official site for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Kemuri Karakara's Donten ni Warau (Laughing at the cloudy sky) action manga revealed two additional cast members today on April 25: Rina Sato as Botan and Kenichi Suzumura as Hirarin. 32-year-old Sato is best known as Mikoto Misaka in the A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun anime series. 39-year-old Suzumura's most famous anime character is Sougo Okita in Gintama, and he is also know as the husband of popular singer/voice actress Maaya Sakamoto (married in August 2011).
The main voice cast:
Tenka Kumo: Yuichi Nakamura (Alto Saotome in Macross Frontier)
Soramaru Kumo: Yuuki Kaji (Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan)
Chutaro Kumo: Tsubasa Yonaga (Ren Mihashi in Big Windup!)
Sirasu Kinjyo: Takahiro Sakurai (Kazuya Miyuki in Ace of Diamond)
Botan: Rina Sato
Hirarin: Kenichi Suzumura
The manga was serialized in Mag Garden's Comic Avarus from 2011 to 2013 and compiled in six tankoubon
volumes. The story is set in 1878, 11 years after the Meiji Restoration, and tells the adventure of the Kumo
three brothers, Tenka, Soramaru, and Chutaro. They are working on transporting anti-government criminals
to the Japan's biggest and unescapable prison near Lake Biwa. The TV anime is scheduled to premiere on
Nihon TV and other stations sometime in 2014.
