"Star Wars" Manga Returns in Digital Format

You may have heard that new Star Wars movies are coming. That's at least in part because Disney bought Lucasfilm for $4 billion in 2012. Disney previously bought Marvel for a similar amount in 2009. These two deals resulted in the comics rights to the franchise going from Dark Horse to Marvel as of January 1st. And, as a result of THAT, the out of print Star Wars manga is back.

This include four volume adaptations of A New Hope by Hisao Tamaki (who did a Dirty Pair reboot in 2010), Empire Strikes Back by Toshiki Kudo and Return of the Jedi by Shin-Ichi Hiromoto (Hell's Angel, STOne - which Tokyopop released), all with covers by Adam Warren. Kia Asamiya (Silent Möbius) did a two volume Phantom Menace.

The titles are available digitally on the Comixology platform.
