Cosplaying Snowboarders Return to Slopes for Annual Charity Event

The Japanese Ita-Board Association ("ita" is pain, a prefix best known for the decorated "itasha" pain cars) returned to the slopes of Nagano this weekend for their fifth annual event, to raise money for local charities (this year, relief efforts for the November 22nd earthquake), show off their otaku decorated snowboards, compete on the Olympic team's half-pipe, sing anison and catch a talk show featuring voice actresses Kana Ueda (Fate/stay night's Rin) and Natsuko Kuwatani (Haruhi's Ryoko).

There was even the marriage of a couple who met through the JIBA.
