At the press conference held yesterday, it was confirmed that Francesca, a new TV anime featuring the local idol character in Hokkaido of the same name, will premiere on UHF Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting (UHB) on July 6. The "undead idol" character Francesca was created by Hokkaido-based mobile contents company HeARTBIT in late 2012. Since then, she has collaborated with several local companies/stores in the region.
Popular voice actress/singer Yui Makino (Sakura in Tsubasa Chronicle) voices as Francesca with Asami Tano (Akane Hino/Cure Sunny in Smile PreCure!) as Exorcist. The two have been voicing the characters for the narrations in the events and image songs. And two Hokkaido-born voice actresses Saki Kudo and Kanomi Isawa will make their debut in this anime.
It is the first Japanese TV anime created with Canadian animation software Toon Boom Harmony.
