Following this morning's announcement by Netflix regarding the premiere of the Knights of Sidonia anime adaptation as an exclusive to the service that starts next week, the end of the last episode of the first season has confirmed that a second season of the series will be made with a preview event confirmed for November 23rd when the episode was broadcast on Japanese network MBS.
The preview event will consist of a screening of the first two episodes from the second season, with event ticket reservations being included through the first two Blu-Ray volumes and the registration deadline set for next month on July 16th.
The first season was produced by Polygon Pictures and initially received heavy criticism for before opinion softened owing to the better than expected quality of the adaptation, which adapts the ongoing manga of the same name by Tsutomu Nihei. Who's excited to see more of the manga being animated?
