The film adaptation of The Idolm@ster anime series, titled The Idolm@ster Movie: Kagayaki no Mukogawa e! was finally released in 39 screens in Japan on January 25. It took a good 5th place in the Japanese box office in its first weekend with 81,262 ticket sales earning 149,876,900 yen.
In commemoration of the release, Itaindou, a Japanese stamp maker based in Saitama Prefecture, has started accepting orders for the character stamps collaborating with the franchise. They have collaborated with Girls und Panzer, Fate/stay night, Uta no Prince-sama, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Infinite Stratos previously, and all of the stamps were well-received by the fans of the series. As usual, the special round and square stamps feature thirteen girls who belong to 765 Productions in the show; Haruka Amami, Chihaya Kisaragi, Yukiho Hagiwara, Yayoi Takatsuki, Ritsuko Akizuki, Iori Minase, Azusa Miura, Ami and Mami Futami, Makoto Kikuchi, Miki Hoshii, Hibiki Ganaha, and Takane Shijo.
The price for the 18mm round stamp is 3,580 yen (about US$34.87) and that of the 21mm square stamp
is 3,980 yen (US$38.76). Each stamp comes with a special cloth case featuring the ordered character’s
illustration. And the purchasers who order the round and square stamps at the same time will also receive
