Since 2010, the Naruto anime series has collaborated with the Awa Odori Festival in Tokushima Prefecture, the largest summer dance festival in Japan. The executive committee of the festival today revealed this year's promotional poster featuring the anime characters. They printed 500 B1-size and 3,400 B2-size posters with 18,000 flyers using this image. This year's festival will be held for three days between August 9 and 11.
The festival has been held in the city of Naruto in Tokushima Prefecture on Shikoku island of Japan since the 1600s. The city has hosted several campaigns to attract tourists using Masashi Kishimoto's super popular manga/anime series with the same name. As in the past years, Junko Takeuchi (the voice actress of Naruto Uzumaki) will hold a special talk show with Kazuhiko Inoue (Kakashi Hatake) on Sunday, August 10.
