"Guilty Gear" Studio's Rhythm Puzzler Hits North America on Tuesday

It seems like an eternity ago, but back in July 2012 we got in some hands-on impressions with developer Arc System Works' (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue) rhythm puzzler, Magical Beat. Featuring music by "Nico Nico celebrity and sound creator" Kikuo, Magical Beat is now making its way to PS Vita in North America this Tuesday.


 


Magical Beat blends drop-down puzzle action with rhythm-based gameplay and, since it's an Arc System Works game, it also has some tunes from Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. More songs from those games and XBlaze Code: Embryo are available as DLC. 


 


If you want to try before you buy there will also be a demo for Magical Beat, but it's hard to resist their original sprite characters and adorable takes on some of the BlazBlue and XBlaze cast.
