Anime Herald
Anime Herald – We’ll talk nerdy to you.

Over the past few months, I’ve been asking a single question, over and over and over again.

What is Anime Herald?

Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Anime Herald is, well… it’s Anime Herald! Simple as that! Right?

Well, yes and no. Over the past four years, I’ve continued to ask myself this. What exactly is Anime Herald? How did we get to this crazy place, and what can we do to ensure that things keep growing?

Sometimes, the answer’s easy. And, as you’ve seen, we’ve tweaked and prodded, grown and evolved since our humble beginnings. You guys have responded in turn, both on the site, and on social media. We’ve added several fantastic members to the team (seriously, they rock!), and expanded our content offerings exponentially.

Lately, though, the question’s been getting tougher to answer. We’ve been hitting a point where the big, existential questions need to be asked, before we can unlock the way forward. Namely, what are we, and what do we need to be, to keep you guys excited, while also ensuring our team continues to feel that passion and enjoyment of creating something amazing.

I’ve come to grips with the fact that we’re not a news site. Anime News Network is bigger, better-funded, and far more reliable. Nor are we a reviews site. While I’m proud of the critiques we publish, Fandom Post is better equipped to handle every single title that comes through the pipeline.

Basically, we are what we are. We’re a group, driven by passion, to deliver the greatest possible experiences to each and every one of you. We might not always hit the mark, but we’re always going to tinker, to try new things, and to generally just poke the box, as we look for new ways to intrigue, entertain, and delight you.

We’re doing our best to become that purple cow. And, in the coming months, I do hope that you, as readers, stand up and tell us what you love in addition to what you loathe. We’re here for you, and we want to become something truly remarkable, something that you can’t help but talk about. It’s a road that’s led to the demise of many, but it’s something that I can’t help but adore at the same time.

Let’s make something incredible, everybody.
