"Black Butler" Live-Action Movie Licensed in Australia

It looks like the live-action Black Butler movie might be coming to Australia before other English-speaking regions. In addition to Ben-to and HETALIA Beautiful World, Australia's Madman announced that they have picked up the feature, which will be coming soon to home video and digital platforms.

Elsewhere, the Philippines' SM Cinema has confirmed via their official Facebook page that the live-actionBlack Butler film will premiere exclusively on SM Cinemas this year.

In a story set 130 years after the manga/anime (2020 specifically), Ayame Goriki plays the heir of the Phantomhive family legacy, an original character must assume a male identity to maintain the position.

Hiro Mizushima went down to 110 pounds (50kg) to capture the sharp features of the character from Yana Toboso's manga in his return to acting after a three year hiatus in the role of the titular demonic servant.

Kentaro Otani (live action NANA) and Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny) will be co-directing the picture.
