Chapter three of the live-action Patlabor series will be screen on July 12th. The two episodes directed by Takanori Tsujimoto and Mamoru Oshii feature a guest appearance by Kyūsaku Shimada and, like the original OVA from Headgear (Mamoru Oshii, writer Kazunori Itō, mecha designer Yutaka Izubuchi, character designer Akemi Takada, and manga artist Masami Yūki), the police mecha will be facing off against (or spoofing) a giant monster kaiju threat.
