You Can Play the New “Super Smash Bros.” with GameCube Controllers

You Can Play the New “Super Smash Bros.” with GameCube Controllers

Does your preference for playing Super Smash Bros. games with the GameCube controller make you wary of the upcoming Wii U version? Fear not, because Nintendo announced an adapter that will let you do just that!

The reveal came at the end of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Invitational video, which introduces the participants and invites everyone else to watch the tournament live via Twitch. They haven’t announced pricing, or how it’s going to be sold in general, but you can see the adapter, along with GameCube controllers emblazoned with a Smash logo, at the end of the clip below.

The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. is set for this winter, following the summer release of the 3DS version.
