Macross 7′s Fire Bomber to Hold 20th Anniversary Live in October



In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the TV anime Macross 7, 50-year-old singer Yoshiki Fukuyama (the singing voice of Basara Nekki) and his F-BAND will hold a live event “FIRE BOMBER 2014 BASARA EXPLOSION” at Kanagawa Prefectural Civic Hall on October 19. Chie Kajiura (the singing voice of Mylene Flare Jenius) will also join the concert as a special guest. The price of the ticket (all seats are reserved) is 7,300 yen (about US$72).



The second Macross TV series was aired for 49 episodes from October 2, 1994 to September 24, 1995. Fire Bomber is a four-member rock band formed by the characters in the show: Basara Nekki (guitar/vocals), Mylene Flare Jenius (bass/vocals), Ray Lovelock (keyboards), and Veffidas Feaze (drums). The real band Fire Bomber featuring Fukuyama and Kajiura performed at several events even after the TV anime ended. The band released a re-union album “Re.FIRE!!” in October 2009, then


provided a new song “Virgin Story” for the 2012 film Macross FB 7: Ore no Uta o Kike!.
