During his 10-day trip to six European countries (Germany, UK, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium), the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the "Evangelion and Japanese Swords" exhibition held at Maison de la culture du Japon a Paris on May 5, Jiji Press reported. After gaining reputation throughout Japan, the exhibition featuring the Japanese swords inspired by the world of Evangelion and various kinds of goods has been invited to France (April 30 to June 21), then will also be held at Museo ABC in Madrid, Spain (July 5 to November 28).
"Anime is very popular in France. Utilizing Japan's strengths will help the growing of the economy," Abe says to the press. "A collaboration between a modern anime and a traditional swordsmanship is one of the new ways to promote 'Cool Japan' to the world."
