Originally set for an August 26 release, Shinji Mikami and Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within has been pushed back to October 21 in North America, with Australia and Europe to follow on October 23 and 24, respectively.
According to publisher Bethesda Softworks, Mikami and his team asked for additional time to "further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create."
While we have a little longer to wait, you can watch some players pee their pants in the reaction video below.
There's also a newly announced pre-order bonus in the form of the Fighting Chance Pack. This one comes with additional items to help players through the game, from a Medical Kit to some weapons and ammo.
The Evil Within is coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
