According to the latest issue of V Jump magazine, players of the upcoming Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth game won’t just be tethered to the male protagonist we’ve seen in previous reports. There’s also a female protagonist to choose from, with more to be revealed in V Jump‘s next issue.
You can see the character in question in the bottom left corner below.
The top of the report also shows two new characters players will be meeting in Cyber Space, Arata Sanada and Nokia Shiramine. Arata, left, is a former skilled hacker, and Nokia, right, hides her fearfulness behind a brave and positive face.
Players will be able to use a data scan feature to capture enemy Digimon, which can be recruited once the data exceeds 100%. Since the protagonist is a hacker, though, they’ll also have to watch out for Digimon that can manipulate them.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is due out in Japan sometime next year.
