"Bubblegum Crisis" Blu-ray Plans Updated

Animeigo has made several announcements regarding their "crowdproduction" effort to fund a Blu-ray release of sci-fi anime OVA Bubblegum Crisis on Blu-ray. In addition to letting fans know that the deadline for ordering the Ultimate Edition or upgrading from Basic to Premium is June 1st, 2014, they've published the results of the poll in which backers voters on bonus material for the release.

You can read that link for a detail rundown on the voting and budgeting, but as it stands, the editions will feature...

Basic Edition

  • 3 BD50 Blu-Ray Set in a single 3-disc Amaray case.

  • All 8 Episodes in full 1080p HD, subtitled in English and French, and dubbed in English.

  • The Hurricane Live 2032, Hurricane Live 2033 and Holiday in Bali live-action/animated music video programs (in SD).

  • Animated music videos, recut into full HD.

  • A set of 5 Postcards from MegaTokyo -- with perhaps some extras, weight permitting

  • Online Omake Archive, including high-resolution color art and settei (production line-art), interviews, song translations, and much more.

  • High-resolution digital version of Adam Warren's “Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal” Comic Book.

  • High-resolution digital versions of R Talsorian Games' Bubblegum Crisis RPG Books.

  • Choice of 1.5" Metal Commemorative Challenge Coin or Keychain.

  • All backers will be listed in a Scroll of Supporters on the discs.

The Premium Edition also features

  • Premium packaging -- each disc in it's own case, contained within a sturdy chipboard box.

  • Both the coin and the keychain

  • Custom Commemorative Embroidered Patch (4"x3.75")

Several Patron Inspector ($300) slots are still available. These give you everything in Premium plus you will get one of the actual final production check discs (and the opportunity to review it before we go into production).

The original Kickstarter campaign was successfully funded last November.
