Compile Heart's Second Galapagos RPG is "Omega Quintet" on PS4

The time has come for the reveal of Compile Heart's second Galapagos RPG, which has been being teased in a couple of videos released over the past week. As announced in this week's issue of Famitsu magazine, the game is Omega Quintet, and it's set for a September 18 debut on PlayStation 4 in Japan.

According to the report, Omega Quintet will mix RPG gameplay with idol management simulation. Five maidens with singing powers—Otoha (played by Riho Iida), Kyouka (Rui Tanabe), Kanadeko, a girl voiced by Inori Minase, and one more—must band together to free the world from a mind-corrupting entity known as Beep.

Kenta Sugano directs, with Hukahire on character designs and music composed by Lantis and produced by Idea Will. The team behind Omega Quintet is working hard to make the game's polygonal engine reflect the concept art so the final result will be close to an illustration.

Omega Quintet will be available in both a ¥6,980 ($67) standard version and ¥8,980 ($88) limited edition, which comes with a special box and booklet, with pre-orders packing a soundtrack CD.
