Sailor Moon is one of those titles that just seems to inspire people. Whether it’s fans re-animating an episode of the show from scratch, authors writing in-depth research works, or fellow manga artists giving their own unique spin on the characters, the show just moves people to create truly fantastic things.
In the wake of last week’s Sailor Moon Crystal announcements, manga artist Arina Tanemura (Full Moon wo Sagashite, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne) began posting sketches of the Sailor Senshi to her Twitter account. To date, she’s added eleven images, covering the entire lineup, from Sailor Moon to Sailor Pluto. You can check out the images below:
Not to be outdone, though, Serial Experiments Lain and Haibane Renmei mastermind Yoshitoshi ABe posted his own take on Sailor Saturn to his Twitter feed earlier today:
