Alice to “Graduate” from Duo Unit ClariS to Concentrate on Studying



The official site for popular anison duo of two high school girls from Hokkaido, ClariS, announced today on May 26 that Alice, who is one of the two members, will leave the unit as of the release of their upcoming 3rd album “PARTY TIME” scheduled on June 14. Alice explains the reason for her “graduation” is that she needs to concentrate on studying. She comments as below:



“I (Alice) will graduate from ClariS to concentrate on studying as of the release of our 3rd album ‘PARTY TIME.’ Thanks to the supports of our fans, staff, and all the people concerned, I have been able to experience the dream worlds filled with happiness since our debut three and half years ago. These are wonderful treasures in my life. Thank you so much for your support for such a long time.”



While there is no words from the only remained member, Clara, the official site says, “ClariS is now


preparing its next stage. Please continue to support the unit.”



ClariS made their major debut in October 2010 and has released 10 singles including popular anime theme


songs such as “irony” (1st single/Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai OP), “Connect” (2nd single/


Puella Magi Madoka Magica OP), and “Naisho no Hanashi” (4th single/Nisemonogatari ED).
