No New Announcements Yet for "Encouragement of Climb"

The special Yama no Susume / Encouragement of Climb theatrical screening and stage talk event in Tokyo has come and gone without any official announcements of a new anime for the popular moe / mountain-climbing series, but Japanese fans are still holding out hope for the recently announced "Encouragement of Climb Official Fan Meeting", which will be held in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, Honshu, Japan.

The meeting will take place on June 03, 2017, at the Hanno City Municipal Hall. Voice actresses Yuka Iguchi (the voice of Aoi Yukimura) and Kana Asumi (the voice of Hinata Kuraue) are will appear as guests, and the schedule lists "talk show, games, and more" as the tentative events planned for the official fan meeting.

Will a new anime project for Encouragement of Climb be announced? Despite the rumors swirling about 8-bit working on a sequel series to an earlier production, it's still too early to tell, and some anime producers just love to tease.
