Archers Aim at Love in "Ichirei Shite, Kiss" Live-Action Film

Ichirei Shite, Kiss ("Make a Bow and Kiss") - a romantic sports manga by Yakko Kaga about young practicioners of the Japanese art of archery falling in love - is being adapted into a live-action film that will hit theaters in Japan in the Fall season of 2017.

In Ichirei Shite, Kiss actress Elaiza Ikeda plays An Kishimoto, a 3rd grade high school student and head of the kyudo (traditional Japanese archery) club. An is getting ready to graduate and to leave the sport of kyudo behind, so she selects Yota Mikami (played by Masaki Nakao) to lead the kyudo club, but Yota is a sloppy athlete who wins competitions even though he doesn't practice properly. Yota also is secretly in love with An, and the story of Ichirei Shite, Kiss follows their burgeoning relationship.

The original Ichirei Shite, Kiss manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Betsucomi shōjo manga magazine from 2012 - 2015. The Ichirei Shite, Kiss live-action film is directed by Takeshi Furusawa.
