"Kemono Friends" Spreads Its Wings for New Video Project

Hot on the heels of the announcement of a new video project for the recently concluded Kemono Friends TV anime, a new piece of character setting artwork by series conceptual designer Mine Yoshizaki has been released to tease the project.

 

 

The new artwork features another avian Friend, possibly based on the ring-billed gull. Since gulls are migratory, it seems likely that Kaban and the rest of the gang will discover new friends outside of the confines of the main island of Japari Park.

 

 

Further details on the new video production have not yet been revealed. However, a special screening / live-talk event has been announced for Kemono Friends. The event will take place at 1:00 PM JST at the Science Hall venue of the Science Musuem in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, Japan on April 15, 2017. The guest list includes for the event:

  • anime producer Yoshitada Fukuhara
  • TV Tokyo producer Nobuyuki Hosoya
  • Yuka Ozaki (the voice of Serval)
  • Kana Motomiya (the voice of Fennec)

  • Ruka Nemoto (the voice of Emperor Penguin)
  • Kyoka Tamura (the voice of Gentoo Penguin)
  • Aina Aiba (the voice of Rockhopper Penguin)
  • Ikuko Chikuta (the voice of Humboldt Penguin)

 

 

 

The event will also include a screening of episodes 11 and 12 of Kemono Friends. Tickets to the event go on sale on April 01, 2017, and cost 3240 yen ($29.22 US).
