Game Freak Recruitment Has People Hoping for "Pokémon" on Switch

A Pokémon game on Nintendo Switch is pretty much an inevitability, but will it be the full-scale console RPG everyone has been clamoring for since the franchise's early days? Some recent posts on job recruitment site Indeed have people crossing their fingers, because Pokémon developer Game Freak is looking for some console-level talent.

Specifically, Game Freak is looking for 3DCG designers who have experience with Wii U and PS Vita-level character models, as well as animation/modeling software Maya. To make matters more enticing, the recruitment ad says, "Here's a chance to work on the development of a globally popular RPG!"

The order of the day for the listed jobs includes the creation of item models, monsters, and super-deformed characters along with some debugging and data work. Both contracts are projected to last until May 2018 at the latest.

According to Game Freak, "It's a title that just about anyone knows, a proposal that could be your future career."
