"Durarara!!×2" will be 3 Separate Cour Project for January 2015, July 2015, January 2016

It is officially announced today on October 5 at the Dengeki Bunko Aki no Saiten 2014 (Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival) event in Akihabara that the upcoming Durarara!!×2 TV anime will be a 3-cour project. The first cour titled "承" (Shou) is, as previously announced, scheduled for January 2015, then the second cour "転" (Ten) for July 2015, the third cour "結" (Ketsu) for January 2016.

"起承転結" (ki-shou-ten-ketsu) is the four-part organization of Chinese and Japanese narratives. So the 24-episode 1st season, which was aired from January to June 2010, presumably takes the part of "起" (Ki) in the four characters.

At the event, four additional voice cast for the second season are also announced as below:

Hiro Shimono as Aoba Kuronuma

M.A.O as Vorona

Yuuki Ono as Chikage Rokujo

Kappei Yamaguchi as Mizuki Akabayashi

And "Reason...," the theme song for the upcoming PS Vita game "Durarara!! Relay," which is scheduled

to be released on January 29, 2015, will be sung by voice actor Toshiyuki Toyonaga, who has played the

protagonist Mikado Ryugamine in the anime series. It will be his major debut song (he released eight singles

and one album from indie label art sonic) and its CD single will be available on December 17.

Durarara!!×2: Shou will premiere on TOKYO MX, MBS, CBC, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS 11 in January 2015.
