Avex has posted a making version teaser video for "SURPRISE-DRIVE," the theme song for the 16th Heisei Kamen Rider TV Series, Kamen Rider Drive, which just premiered in Japan today on October 5. The song is performed by rock band SOPHIA's vocalist Mitsuru Matsuoka's new unit, Mitsuru Matsuoka EARNEST DRIVE. As a solo singer, Matsuoka previously sang "W," the theme song for the 2010 film Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate, and also played Katsumi Daido/Kamen Rider Eternal in the film.
A TV size version of "SURPRISE-DRIVE" will be digitally available on October 8, then its CD single will be released on December 3. A full version promotional video of the song is scheduled to be posted on October 19.
