"Death Note" to Collaborate with Real Escape Game in Early Summer

Not a new manga or anime, or even live-action film. As reported, the countdown site for the 10th anniversary of the Death Note manga (story: Tsugumi Ohba/art: Takeshi Obata) officially revealed its commemorative project today on March 3. The franchise will collaborate with The Real Dasshutsu (Escape) Game and hold mystery solving events named "Escape from the God of the New World" in Tokyo and Osaka. In the Escape Game events, participants are trapped in an amusement park or stadium and have to make their escape by finding clues and solving puzzles. It previously collaborated with Detective Conan, Kindaichi Case Files, Evangelion, and also plans to hold events featuring Attack on Titan this summer.

"Escape from the God of the New World" is set in a world ruled by "New Kira," who claims himself as the successor of Kira. The participants of the game have to survive and escape from the traps set up by

the new Kira in one hour. The Tokyo event will be held at Harajuku Himitsukichi of Scrap from May 30 to

July 27, the Osaka event will be at Osaka Himitsukichi of Scrap from June 13 to July 27. The tickets for

both events will go on sale at noon on March 21. Is this what you expected for the 10th anniversary of

Death Note?

Shueisha has also launched a portal site and official Facebook page for the anniversary. The site has

announced the upcoming release of a smartphone game and posted mysterious numbers for the passwords.
