On today March 27, popular anime voice actress Aoi Yuuki celebrates her 22nd birthday! She was born in Chiba Prefecture on March 27, 1992. After performing for several Japanese TV dramas and variety shows, she made her debut as an anime voice actress for Sakura in the 2003 TV anime series Kino's Journey when she was only 11. Her first protagonist roles were Ichigo Amano in Yumeiro Patissiere and Riko Mikogami in Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu, both started airing in October 2009.
But the most popular and important character in her career is no doubt Madoka Kaname in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series (2011-). Mainly because of her performance for the character, she won the Main Voice Actress Award in the Newtype x Machi Asobi Anime Awards 2011, the Voice Actress Award in the 6th Seiyu Awards, and the MIP Voice Actress Award in the 1st Nikkan Anime Granbd Prix. As an anime voice actress, she will voice at least four characters (probably more) in the upcoming spring 2014
season: Serika Gin'yuin in Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara, Meme Tatane in Soul Eater Not!, Kohina Hiruko in
Black Bullet, and Jin Valel in Blade & Soul.
As a solo singer, she has released one single and two mini albums. Her latest/second single "Cupid Review"
(Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara OP) will be released on April 23. In March 2013, she also formed a voice actress
idol unit petit milady with Ayana Taketatsu. The unit so far has had two singles and one album. Check her
