Before going to see the PreCure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi film at the Shinjuku Wald 9 theater last Sunday, I also visited Tokyo Metro Subway's Shinjuku Station with my doujinshi partner Ransui-san (Fantastic Yuri Rhythm) to take photos of the famous giant poster featuring all of the 36 successive PreCure Girls including the latest three: Cure Lovely, Cure Princess, and Cure Honey from the on-going TV series Happinesscharge PreCure!. Unfortunately, Cure Fortune, who has already appeared since the first episode, was not included. While taking photos, we heard several times the people passing said, "Wow, we didn't know there are so many PreCure girls now!"
The PreCure poster was displayed between March 10 and 23 to promote the final installment of the New Stage series. We visited the last day. The sad story is that Ai Maeda, the voice actress who voices Karen Minazuki/Cure Aqua in the PreCure 5 series and of course in this film, believed the poster
was supposed to be displayed till 24. What she found on Monday was only an empty wall.... She
somehow pulled herself together and saw the film with Eri Sendai (Shiho Kubota/Milk/Milky Rose/Kurumi
Mimino) and was very happy to see so many audience in the theater even though it was a week-day.
The film itself was really, really good. I don't want to spoil anything yet, but at least I can say that the
staff of the film did everything they could in the capacity of the New Stage series. I sincerely hope the
overseas PreCure fans can see this film legitimately as soon as possible.
