PlayStation 3 Console Production Coming to an End in Japan

Sony's PlayStation 3 had a hell of a run, and it looks like it's finally coming to an end in Japan. After over a decade only a single model—the charcoal black 500GB console—remains, and according to the Japanese product page it's on the way out.

The page's listing for model number CECH-4300C, which has been available since 2014, says "shipments are scheduled to conclude soon." With no replacement models lined up, it would appear this is the system's last hurrah.

All in all, PS3 was a great console. Feel free to share some of your favorite games and memories in the comments!
