11th Seiyuu Awards Recognize Last Year's Achievements In Voice Acting

On March 18th, winners of the 11th annual Seiyu Awards were announced, recognizing achievements in the field of voice acting. Stands out included Your Name., with the newcomers in Love Live! Sunshine!!'s Aquors, Mob Psycho 100 and Macross Delta also among those getting the nod.

 

Best Actor: Ryunosuke Kamiki (Your Name's Taki Tachibana,  Jojo's Koichi Hirose, March Comes in Like a Lion's Rei Kiriyama)


Best Actress: Mone Kamishiraishi (Your Name's Mitsuha Miyamizu)

Best Supporting Actor: Hochu Otsuka (Kizumonogatari's Guillotinecutter, Ajin's Sato)

Best Supporting Actress- (A Silent Voice's Miki Kawai, In This Corner of the World's Sumi Urano)


Best Male Newcomer:

Setsuo Ito (Mob Psycho 100's Shigeo Kageyama )
Yuma Uchida (Macross Delta's Hayate Immelmann )
Yuusuke Kobayashi (Re:Zero's Subaru Natsuki)


Best Female Newcomer:

Ari Ozawa (Pop in Q's Asahi Ōmichi)
Sayaka Senbongi (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress's Mumei)
Minami Tanaka (Scorching Ping Pong Girls' Agari Kamiya)


Singer: Aqours

 

Personality- for voiceappearances under own name: Natsuki Hanae

 

Achievement Awardd - for contribution to voice work in many genres, including non-anime roles

Kei Tomiyama Award (goes to a male actor who promotes the seiyu occupation through other media): Ryuusei Nakao (Draogn Ball's Freeza)

 

Yamato Takahashi Award: (equivalent of above for a woman): Sumi Shimamoto (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind)

 

Kids/Family Award: Pet (the Japanese dub of The Secret Lives Of Pets)
