The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of KOEI Tecmo's hack and slash video game series Sengoku Musou/Samurai Warriors today announced that 25-year-old popular voice actor Kensho Ono plays one of the anime original characters, Hideyori Toyotomi, a son of Hideyoshi Toyotomi who first united all of Japan in the history. He commented for the website, "I feel so much pressure because I am surrounded by veterans and Hideyori is a new character for the anime. But I'll try my best, do everything I can!"

The TV anime, which is based on the PS3/PS4/PS Vita game Sengoku Musou 4/Samurai Warriors 4,
is directed by Koujin Ochi (La Corda d'Oro: Primo Passo, Detective Conan), who previously served as
the director for the 2014 March TV special Sengoku Musou SP: Sanada no Shou. The same production
team including the character designer Aki Tsunaki, scenario writer Yuka Yamade, and production
company TYO Animations (Tamayura, YuruYuri Nachuyachumi!), also join the TV anime project.
Samurai Warriors is set to broadcast every Sunday starting January 11, starting at 10:35 AM Pacific Time
for Crunchyroll's premium members and will be available one week later for free members. It will be available
worldwide excluding Asia.
