Cinema Today has posted a 90-second footage of the 12th episode "Ooinaru Isan" from the currently-showing 7th chapter of The Next Generation -Patlabor- live-action film series, which features the recreated images from the 1993 anime film Patlabor 2. The footage is newly produced by Production I.G and narrated by Michihiro Ikemizu, the original voice actor for Isao Ohta. As reported, the episode is told as a direct sequel to the film including the appearances by Yukihito Tsuge, the main antagonist in the film, and Shinobu Nagumo, the ex-captain of the Division 1.
The 7th chapter which contains the 12th episode with the highlights of the previous episodes is now screened at selected Japanese theaters for limited time of two weeks till January 24.
