Following last week's news that the anime adaptation of Masaki Tsuzuki and Takuya Fujima's Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid has been scheduled for this April, the latest update on the magic girl series is that Nana Mizuki's untitled 32nd single, set to be released April 22nd, will be featured as the anime's opening. Yukari Tamura will perform the ending, with that single due April 1st.

Vividred Operation assistant director Yuuki Itoh will helm this A-1 Pictures production with Naruo Kobayashi writing and animator Masaaki Yamano (Working!!, Servant x Service) on character designs. ToHeart2's Naruo Kobayashi is credited as main writer.

The magical girl action franchise, which has previously featured three anime television series, two theatrical adaptations, multiple manga and a Drama CD, spun off from a character in eroge visual novel Triangle Heart 3. Akiyuki Shinbo directed the first anime, and Madoka Magica started off with his desire to do further magical girl work.
