Ahead of an August 11th event, Yuki Kaji, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Rie Kugimiya, Jun Fukuyama, Hideyuki Tanaka, Nao Tamura and Tomo Muranaka have been listed as the cast of the Toei Animation TV anime adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara’s sci-fi action manga World Trigger, debuting this fall.
The manga runs digitally in Viz’s English language Weekly Shonen Jump. The first two volumes will launch on October 7th simultaneously in print, and digitally via the VIZ Manga platform and through the storefronts for the Nook, Kobo, Kindle, Google Play and iBooks.
They describe the series’ premise:
Teenage geek Osamu may not be the best of the elite warriors protecting Earth from the invincible Neighbors, but he’ll do whatever it takes to defend it from the monsters pouring through the mysterious inter dimensional portal! Together with his peculiar Neighbor friend Yuma, they’ll use other-dimensional technology to take on the alien invaders!
